Indian jets violate Pakistan air space; India denies

ISLAMABAD: Indian fighter planes on Saturday violated Pakistan’s air space by entering two places in Kashmir and Lahore but forced to return by Pakistan Air force stern reaction. However, India has denied the incursion.

According to details Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets, which were already on alert, quickly came into action and forced the India’s fighter jets to leave Pakistan’s air space at once.

Director Public Relations PAF Air Commodore Humyun Viqar has confirmed the violation by Indian Air Force.

"The Indian Air craft entered into Pakistan's Air space from two to four nautical miles at two different sectors, Lahore and Azad Kashmir, and were swiftly responded by the efficient Pakistan Air Defence system forcing them to return to their own territory", he said.

The Indian aircraft's violations took place at 11:30 am and 1305 pm on Saturday, Viqar maintained.

But a spokesman of Indian Air Force on Saturday denied any intrusion inside Pakistani territory, reported ARY OneWorld.

Some news reports said the Indian planes were fully equipped with warheads.

Meanwhile, Sherry Rehman, Federal Minister for Broadcast said that Indian jets violated Pakistani air space by mistake.

Political leaders and people from all walks of life have condemned the Indian intrusion.
